I whipped up this outfit this morning because I thought I’d be meeting some friends after work. Didn’t happen. I’m still packing. LA late tomorrow and as if it wasn’t already guaranteed that an afternoon flight out of JFK would be delayed on a normal day, Irene is showing her mug around here. Either I’m lucky to get to LA at all or I sit out the storm in NYC without having stocked up. I’m from LA – I know nothing about prepping for a hurricane anyway. (No, I didn’t feel the tremors on Tuesday.)
The maxi dress was a favorite last summer and I abused it through the fall and winter with a faux-leather moto or peacoat and booties. I dug it so much I think I’ll bring it back this fall and winter too. Is that fashion faux-pas? What do I know.
